Register for Camp:

Ignite will have two sessions at Highland Lakes Camp on Lake Travis this August.

  • Session 1: August 2-5, 2017.

  • Session 2: August 5-8, 2017.

Ignite is held at Highland Lakes Camp & Conference Center in Spicewood, Texas. The campgrounds consist of conference centers/meeting rooms, cabins with bunk beds, a prayer garden, a lake, a pool, and much more. Since this camp is about 45 minutes outside of Austin, Ignite provides buses to Highland Lakes and your car can be left in the Austin Oaks Church parking lot for the duration of camp. Busses leave at 3 p.m. on the first day of each session. Campers will return at the same parking lot for pick up by 1 p.m. on the last day of each session.

If one session fills up and you are unable to attend the other session, please contact Sydney Bobb at assistant@ignitetexas.org and we will attempt to make accommodations.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact Sydney Bobb at assistant@ignitetexas.org.

Scholarships:

If you want to attend Ignite Texas 2017, but cannot or have trouble paying then please email Jonathan Harper at financial@ignitetexas.org. Partial and full scholarships are available.

This semester the men of Ignite held "Mustache March" for the second year in a row! During March, our guys do not shave their mustaches until they reach their goal. This year they wanted to raise $700 for camper scholarships and finished with over $900! We're passionate about you coming to retreat, so please send us an email.

Speaker & Band:

Speaker: Libba Tullos

Libba has been inspiring and encouraging people of all walks for over 17 years. Her unique ability to weave her realities into the realities of others enables her to engage with everyone in an authentic manner. Whether you run into her at a coffee shop or you see her on stage speaking to thousands, you will see the real Libba and Libba will see the real you. Her energy is contagious, and mediocre is not in her vocabulary.

Band: Kenny Klingesmith

Born in Eastern Kentucky and raised in South Texas, Kenny Klinglesmith is a strange dude
as a result of severe cultural confusion. Raised in a Southern Baptist church while attending
an inner-city high school, his personality has resulted somewhere between a hillbilly and
wannabe gangster. His southern drawl mixed with his ability to freestyle rap certainly makes
for an interesting combo.

Oh, and he leads worship too.

Jesus came crashing into Kenny's life the summer of 2008 at an FCA Sports Camp. Ever since that encounter, Kenny has never been the same. A once-aspiring attorney, the Lord called Kenny into vocational ministry in the Fall of 2014, and he has never looked back since. Kenny and his band desire to see Jesus Christ receive the worship that He is due. Quite simply, this band exists to lead songs about Jesus, to Jesus, for Jesus, to celebrate Jesus.

Kenny and his band call the greater-Austin area home. Kenny is a die-hard fan of Selena Quintanilla, University of Kentucky's basketball team and is an avid supporter of Young Life. Lastly, he aspires to make Corpus Christi proud of him. He will always be loyal to the 361.

Ignite hosts a ministry fair during retreat to give campers the opportunity to interact with local churches and organizations.  The goal is to help them get plugged into the body of Christ at The University of Texas.
