Wow, I feel like I am just getting over the excitement of Ignite Texas 2016 and we are already prepping and praying for Ignite Texas 2017!
Hello! If you don’t know me, my name is Katie Henderson and I get the greatest honor of being Director for Ignite Texas 2017. It has been a whirlwind since I accepted the role but I can already tell the Lord is doing some wonderful things with Ignite this year.
Our Lord put together a top notch exec team that is already in full swing planning for the year ahead. I get the joy of leading these wonderful humans.
Sydney Bobb (Assistant Director) who is senior serving for a second year on the exec team. I am so excited the Lord is allowing us another year to serve alongside each other.
Jonathan Harper (Financial) another returning senior exec member. JHarp is so involved on campus I am beyond thrilled to see his dedication to this organization for a final year.
Christina Burke (Ministry) who is serving Ignite for the third year in a new position. I love seeing her passion to serve as the connection between Ignite and all the other campus ministries. Doesn’t hurt that she is the sweetest soul!
Sarah Henkel (Media) is a junior this year and she is defining the term ‘humble servant’ as she eagerly takes on this position. After serving on Media Team for three years I am a little partial to her role.
Tim Barber (Development) is also a junior serving for his third year on staff. Tim has some big plans for Ignite to go along with his big personality. He is going to make great things happen this year and I cannot wait!
Matt Stone (Training) is one half of Matt and Kim (Kim and Matt.) After serving as Prayer Team Trainer last year, Matt has taken on this role eager to equip the staff of Ignite. He is sharing his heart with this ministry and it is amazing to watch.
Kim Gabosch (Training) is the other half of Kim and Matt (Matt and Kim.) Kim is serving on Ignite staff for her third year. She is pouring her everything into leading and equipping the ladies of Ignite Texas. She and Matt are the dream team!
If those seven humans weren’t enough to celebrate, Matt and Kim (Kim and Matt) just received their team of Co Chair and Prayer Team Trainers. I am so ready to see what amazing work the Lord has planned for these eight wonderful humans.

I want to ask that you please join us in prayer as God calls people to serve this ministry in the positions of Co-Chair, Prayer Team, and Counselor. The exec and training team are prayerfully casting vision on what we want Ignite to become this year. We have big prayers for inviting more freshman and transfer students into the Christian community at the University of Texas than ever before. We are grateful to be a small part of the Lord’s bigger plan and sharing the love of Christ with this campus. Thank you for all your prayers and support last year! I am so excited to share the joy that is Ignite Texas with all of you.
